Automatic subtitles for your video, word by word

Upload a video, Cutlingo transcribes the speech and burns the subtitles into the picture. Each word lights up the moment it is spoken, just like the captions you see on Reels and TikTok.

How it works

  1. 1

    Upload your video

MP4, MOV, MKV or WebM up to 4 GB. A phone recording, a webinar or a podcast episode all work.

  2. 2

    Check the transcript

Speech is transcribed automatically. If a word comes out wrong, click it and fix it; the change shows up in the captions right away.

  3. 3

    Pick a style and download

Font, colours, box and position are all visible in the preview. You download the video with the subtitles burned in.

Why captions belong in the video

Most people watch short videos with the sound off: on the bus, at work, late at night. Without captions they miss the point and scroll on. Even with the sound on, captions hold attention, because the eye follows the words and reads the sentence to the end.

Captions that don't look like a template

Choose from 30 fonts and 16 ready-made styles: highlighted word, word in a box, karaoke, or an interview style with one big emphasised word. Set your own colour, outline, shadow, box rounding and caption height. What you see in the browser preview is exactly what ends up in the downloaded video.

Accurate in 11 languages

Transcription works in English, Slovak, Czech, German, Polish, Hungarian, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and Turkish, including names and accents. Short words like "a" or "I" don't get swallowed; every word gets its own moment on screen.

Make the key word stand out

Highlight any word in a different colour or a larger size, such as a number, a name or the punchline. Your captions carry emphasis, not just text.

FAQ

Didn't find your answer? Write to us at [email protected].

Are the subtitles burned into the video?

Yes. You download a finished MP4 with captions in the picture, so it works on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and Facebook without uploading separate subtitle files.

How accurate is the transcription?

With clean audio and one to four speakers it is very accurate. If a word is off, fix it with one click right in the preview.

Can I translate the subtitles?

Yes. A video in one language can get subtitles in any of the other ten. You can read and edit the translation before the clip is made.

How much does it cost?

Your first video up to 10 minutes is free, no card needed. Paid plans start at €12 a month for 120 minutes of video.
