Privacy policy
Here we explain what personal data we process when you use Cutlingo, why, for how long, and what rights you have. We follow Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and zákon č. 18/2018 Z. z. o ochrane osobných údajov (Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on Personal Data Protection).

People in your videos
The videos you upload may contain personal data of other people (face, voice, name, statements). For this data you are the controller, and we process it only on your instructions, that is, to make the clips you choose. Before uploading, make sure you have a legal basis for this, for example the consent of the people appearing in the video.
To distinguish speakers and to track faces when cutting to vertical format, we use automated audio and image analysis. It runs only during processing on our server. It is not used to identify people, and we do not store voice or facial characteristics.
Where we process your data and who has access to it
Videos, speech transcription and clip production all run on our own server in the Slovak Republic. We do not send your videos to third parties for transcription. We make data available only to the following suppliers, and only to the extent necessary for their task:
- Cloudflare, Inc. (USA) – network infrastructure and website protection; communication between your browser and our server passes through its network.
- Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. (Ireland) – card payment processing. You enter your card details directly with Stripe; we do not see them.
- WebSupport s.r.o. (Slovakia) – the mailbox we use to communicate with you.
- Anthropic, PBC (USA) – only if you use AI clip suggestions or AI transcript correction: we send the transcript text (not the video or audio) so that the AI can suggest the best moments or fix typos. Under the supplier's contractual terms, the text is not used to train its models.
For transfers to the USA, we rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the supplier has joined it, and otherwise on standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission. We do not sell data and we do not use it for advertising or for automated decision-making or profiling.
Your rights
You have the right to request access to your data, its rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, transfer to another controller, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Send your request to [email protected]; we will handle it within one month.
If you believe we are handling data unlawfully, you can file a petition to initiate proceedings with Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov Slovenskej republiky (Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic), Hraničná 12, 820 07 Bratislava 27, dataprotection.gov.sk.
